Protech Sports and Safety Products Pvt. Ltd. (the Company) has been a leader in the manufacturing of protective equipment’s, especially cricket helmets and accessories. It was vital for the company to strive for continuous R&D into better processes and materials for improving the impact absorption of products it manufactures. The Company was also constantly on a look out for a better technology for meeting the ever-higher levels of safety in their products.

The Company has made tremendous efforts in getting various special grades of foam and other materials developed for the improvement of concussion for the sports products. Protech is the first company to incorporate an EPS liner inside a cricket helmet. This has enabled the Company to become the first to get an inaugural cricket helmet standard in the world, i.e. the Australian Standard. It developed an ideal thickness to density ratio formatting the standards of the EPS and developed an outer helmet shell with a high impact engineering polymer.

With the ever-evolving game of cricket, especially the T20cricket where fast scoring has become the prime factor in cricket, the players became more innovative in their shot playing abilities. This has made players increasingly exposed to dangers of being hit to the helmet more than ever before. This has further enhanced our need to further develop an impact enhancing module that will enable the players to mitigate higher impacts and also multiple impacts in similar place. The Company is always looking for a better technology to enable in its quest to improve its product, in terms of quality and capability. The Company has signed a technology partner Windpact- USA. Windpact has developed a technology that enhances the impact absorption coupled with capability for multiple impacts. The Company has signed an exclusive agreement with Windpact for the transfer of this technology and process.   

The Company has multiple products in it’s pipeline that it is striving into its portfolio. It is making strides to improve these products to have an edge in the market with improved products through its R&D efforts.

The Company has a full-time in-house R&D lab and has a person who heads the R&D department along with a team of assistants. This team will be involved in developing new processes and products that will help in enhancing the technical features of current products and develop new products altogether with improved technology. The Company is constantly in the process of improving and developing new process and products through it efforts in R&D.
